Overview

Once you have charged your Silent Beacon set it beside the Smartphone or Tablet you used to register the App with.

Step 1

On the Main Menu of the App navigate to the Beacon Tab located near the middle top section.

Step 2

Press the Plus Sign located in the middle of the Silent Beacon Graphic.

You will know it is connected when the device image shows up and “BEACON CONNECTED” shows up underneath as this illustration below shows.

TIP 1
A (!) icon will appear to the left that will show you a video on how to connect the device if. you are still having trouble.

IMPORTANT!
If the App says “This Beacon is paired to another phone” it has been paired to another phone.  You must clear this from the old phone before moving forward.

IMPORTANT!
If your Silent Beacon does not connect, please check our troubleshooting section.

Step 3

Press both buttons on the Silent Beacon at the same time for about 2 seconds.
You will then see the Silent Beacon blinking blue.  This means it is in classic pairing mode which will allow phone calls to be placed during an emergency.

TIP 1
A pop up screen will explain the steps and show video in the App.

IMPORTANT!
The blue blinking will only last 90 seconds. At that point you need to repeat Step 2 in order to correctly pair the phone to the Silent Beacon Panic Button.

IMPORTANT!
If your Silent Beacon is glowing Red and not Blue you are paired to another phone. To clear this hold both buttons down for 30 seconds to reset the device.

Step 4

Navigate over to the Settings Menu of your phone and chose the Bluetooth Settings Screen. Below is a view of how they should appear in both Android and Apple.

iPhone/iPad

Android / Tablet

Step 5

Go into the Bluetooth Settings Screen and find the SB ALERT.  The SB ALERT will be followed by the last 4 digits of your phone number. Press on the SB ALERT.

Step 6

A screen will then pop up prompting you to enter a 4 digit pin. This PIN number is 0000.

Your Silent Beacon is now connected to your Phone.

IMPORTANT!
Once you connect your App to the Silent Beacon you will see it says “SB ALERT Not Connected” This is because the Emergency Alert is ONLY connected once you go into Alert Mode.  Silent Beacon is the only option in your Bluetooth Settings that should show Connected normally.

Step 7

Navigate back to the Silent Beacon App, it should now say Pairing 2/2 on the main menu. You are all set!

TIP 1
Connection Text
“Searching for Beacon”– Your Phone is trying to connect to your Beacon.
“Beacon Connected” – Your Beacon is connected to the App
“Beacon Disconnected” – Your Beacon is not connected to the App

TIP 2
Paired Status
Pairing 0/2 occurs when your App and Beacon are complexity disconnected from each other.
Pairing 1/2 occurs when you have successfully connected the App to the Beacon by pressing the plus sign located in this photo.
Pairing 2/2 occurs when you have connected the Classic Bluetooth from your phone to the Beacon, for more on that click here.

TIP 3
Call On/Off
When you have toggled on an Emergency Contact to call inside your Contact Details page, this will show as Call On letting you know it will place a call when in Alert Mode.

TIP 4
Battery Life
This tells you the percentage of battery you have left in your Beacon or if it is currently charging.

Here is a demonstration on how to connect your Silent Beacon to the consumer app (works the same way as Enterprise Safety App)
